All the pictures you see were taken by me where I was assigned at the time to the FOB 3 Base . I don’t know how they made it out. It was sheer luck. I gave the film to a chopper crew member at the time . They were all leaving it was just to dangerous for them to stay with all the incoming .

The pictures are of the FOB -3 base which was 5th Special Forces Group. Green Berets Detachment A-101. Some of the pictures  shows Montagnards “BRU” Tribe so you understand it was not only Americans  manning the lines in case you see faces that don’t look like Americans. The base was within the perimeter of the main base but not accessible  to anyone except people authorized to enter . In other words another base within itself.

At the time I believe there was a day that “1000 rounds fell on the base NVA used 152 Howitzers Hard to believe they could have put so much fire power on us .

Just another days of survival.
