I remember this one night one of many that stood out and seemed to be maybe the last stand .

lang Vie which was a Special Forces Camp was overrun. The camp was almost next store to our base at Khe Sahn many of there people would visit us for supply’s or just to go some where .

This night we heard the bad news not only was it overrun and the special forces that could escape came into our camp and told us that the NVA used Russian tanks . This was something that we were not prepared for. If they came into our camp there was nothing we could do to stop them . We were told we may have to use Molotov Cocktails . We had nothing else. They never came that night only the people who could escape the NVA came.

khe-sanh-2171The next night nothing except the regular artillery and mortars .Finely we received LAW’s a anti tank weapon . Which we never had to use and I never did find out what happened  to the NVA Russian tanks .
