One night there was it seemed a duel between our artillery and the NVA. We had one five fives and I believe one seven five. Never did find out where the one seven five came from . Maybe some day I will research. Any way we were told that the one seven five was able to track incoming and fire back and destroy it. Don’t know if this was a fact only hear say at the time. Well the exchange of artillery fire lasted about two nights . Than one night we heard nothing from the one seven five. Later to find out it was knocked out. So much for what it was worth because each day and night no matter how much we dropped bombs on them , and artillery, and rockets and patrols we still received fire back . And each day life went on and we continue to have causalities , and so we live as in a trance not knowing when we would end up being the next casualty. Maybe until nobody is left or we all leave Khe Sahn and leave it to the NVA.
